Who Will You Be?
BIBLE MEDITATION:
“And He said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.” Luke 18:29-30
DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT:
God has given you abilities and God wants you to take those abilities and invest them in Him. Friend, it is a sin for you to be less than what God called you to be.
Sure, you may not be the next Einstein, Babe Ruth, Betty Crocker, or Billy Graham. But that’s not the point. The danger is that you will not do what you can do.
ACTION POINT:
There are three people inside you…who you are right now, who you could be for evil if you allowed the devil to get a hold of you, and who you could be for God. I pray you will let go of this world with both hands and give your all to God for Him to use you.

The Right to Holy Things
"But if the priest buy any soul with his money, he shall eat of it, and he that is born in his house: they shall eat of his meat" (Leviticus22:11).
Strangers, sojourners, and servants upon hire were not to eat of holy things. It is so in spiritual matters still. But two classes were free at the sacred table, those who were bought with the priest's money and those who were born into the priest's house. Bought and born, these were the two indisputable proofs of a right to holy things.
Bought. Our great High Priest has bought with a price all those who put their trust in Him. They are His absolute property -- altogether the LORD's. Not for what they are in themselves, but for their owner's sake they are admitted into the same privileges which He Himself enjoys, and "they shall eat of his meat." He has meat to eat which worldlings know not of. "Because ye belong to Christ," therefore shall ye share with your LORD.
Born. This is an equally sure way to privilege. If born in the Priest's house we take our place with the rest of the family. Regeneration makes us fellow-heirs and of the same body, and, therefore, the peace, the joy, the glory, which the Father has given to Christ, Christ has given to us. Redemption and regeneration have given us a double claim to the divine permit of this promise.

Your Calling to Judgment
One of the three ways in which we are called as believers, which we looked at in yesterday's devotional, is a call or summons to judgment. And frankly, the thought of it unsettles me.
In fact, when I read what the apostle Paul says about the judgment seat of Christ, it is very sobering. He tells us that someday we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ and give an account for the works done in the body. In 2 Corinthians 5:11, he states this about that day,
Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men.
Think about that for a moment. Isn't that unsettling to you?
The apostle Paul who wrote the great majority of the New Testament, who walked the known world three times to establish churches and to preach the gospel where it had been previously unpreached, who gave his life, and according to church history, was even martyred for the cause of Christ, refers to the judgment seat of Christ as "the terror of the Lord."
Wow! That is just unnerving.
Someday I really want to hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant." I'm taking God's call seriously. Now, I am enjoying life to the max, but there is always that serious edge knowing that I am going to have to stand before Jesus someday.
My prayer for you today is that you, too, would take your call before the judgment seat of Christ seriously. Someday you will stand before our Lord and give an account of every part of your life.
May you hear, "Well done, good and faithful servant."
